There are four advocacy ministries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America:
ELCA Washington Office,
State Public Policy Offices,
Lutheran Office for World Community, and
Corporate Social Responsibility. Each ministry advocactes for just, sound and compassionate public social policies based upon the officially adopted social justice policy positions of the ELCA.

The Lutheran Office for World Community represents the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York under a written agreement between the ELCA Church in Society program unit and the LWF.
