Mariette is connected to her community through her local congregation.
There are all kinds of ways to be connected to our communities, to the church and to other people. Mariette Martinez is a full time student who plans to be an elementary school teacher. She is an active member of Zion Cristo Rey Lutheran Church in Chicago. Mari finds that being a part of her congregation has helped her to engage in her local neighborhood and has helped her with an understanding of what she is called to do in her life.
