List of Large Congregations

The following list represents the 100 largest worshipping congregations in the ELCA. This list was compiled from information submitted by congregational parochial reports to the ELCA Office of the Secretary. While there are admittedly a variety of ways to measure the size of a congregation, none of them adequately tell the whole story of any congregation. For the purpose of this list, worshiping size, the average weekly attendance, is used as the best available barometer of designating congregations as large congregations.
