Mental Illness

 

ELCA Disability Ministries: Every person with a disability has a right to be a member of a congregation and to serve in some capacity.Jesus' earthly ministry was one of total acceptance and love. The message of the Lutheran network for Mental Illness is that all God's people need to show that kind of total love and acceptance to those who are living with mental illness and brain disorders and to their families.

The Lutheran Network on Mental Illness/ Brain Disorders (LNMI/BD) addresses issues of mental illness in the church and supports congregations in their efforts to be inclusive and supportive of families living with mental illness.

The Lutheran Network for Mental Illness / Brain Disorders is a joint effort of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod.
