Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PennsylvaniaFounded in 1848, Muhlenberg College sits on 81 picturesque acres in the west end of Allentown, 55 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City. The college adopted the name Muhlenberg College in 1867, 19 years after it was founded — in honor of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, patriarch of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Muhlenberg family remains one of the most prominent families in Pennsylvania and American history.

As a liberal arts college, Muhlenberg offers programs in the humanities, natural and social sciences and in professional areas including business, education, pre-health, pre-law and pre-theological studies. The College keeps its curriculum current and vital. Powerful outcomes, active learning and a caring student-focused environment remain a hallmark of the Muhlenberg education.
