May 18 – A "Day of Dialogue" on Racism

ELCA members are observing May 18 as a “Sacred Day of Dialogue and Discussion” on the topic of racism, as designated by the National Council of Churches – USA. Some resources on racism include:

    United Methodist Church Adopts
    Full Communion Proposal with ELCA

    The General Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) adopted an implementing resolution April 28 that will establish full communion with the ELCA. Full communion will be fully realized by both churches if the same proposal is adopted at the next ELCA Churchwide Assembly, which meets Aug. 17-23, 2009, in Minneapolis. More
